Interviews with Captain Hugh Rickard (commanding officer of «HMS Raleigh»), Captain Phillip Masterton-Smith and Joe Martyn, the uncle of one of the Wrens. Reporter Peter McCann. Two features on Spithead House, Portsmouth, home to the Flag Officer of Portsmouth. Features examine whether the expense of having a listed property to perform the duties associated with the role can be justified. Further interviews with Sir Peter Cuslett, Captain Simon Thorn (the new tenant of Spithead House), Lieutenant Commander Kerry McCauley and former Leading Steward Caffrey. A team who had completed a Naval survival course in the Cairngorm mountains of Scotland disappear, resulting in the local search and rescue service being deployed. They were found to have gone to the local pub to celebrate and forgot to report once they had completed the course. Interviews with Captain Tim Laurence (husband of Princess Anne and the Captain of the rescue services base station), Commander Simon Howard, Captain John Chadwick and Joe Martyn (the landlord of the local pub). Sue Saville reporting. An article about Spithead Houses new tenant. Interviews with the incoming tenant Commodore Andrew Gough, Lieutenant Commander Simon Atkinson and Joe Martyn (an unemployed local man who is annoyed by the expense associated to the house). Sue Saville reports. Note that all news stories appear to be fictional. The film is a collection of TV reports, probably used to teach Naval personnel how to conduct themselves in front of reporters and cameras. Also see ADM 2716 and ADM 2726, which are comprised similar reports and use many of the same people.
