Description: I. Interview with Group Captain Steve Abbot, Commander of the APOD at Kabul Airport, discussing his mission to open up the airport both to ISAF and to humanitarian and civilian flights.
II. Members of the Royal Engineers carry out runway repairs. Damaged top surface of tarmac is removed from a section of runway and the gravel and hardcore underneath is replaced. Surveyor uses leveller (staged sequence). Snack of compo rations is prepared. Raking over hardcore in hole on runway. Heavy lifter moves concrete slabs into position over the hole in the surface.
