Summary: Scenes at Kabul International Airport, including camp life for the RAF serving there.
Description: I. Night scene in the foyer of one of the empty airport buildings: members of the RAF Regiment prepare "boil-in-the-bag" compo ration sachets and eat them with forks (straight from the bag).
II. Metal tent frames are erected by Royal Engineers near the terminal building.
III. Open air ablutions; soldiers fill bowls of water from adapted oil drum heater (cf tape 1). Afghan carpenters erect wood-framed temporary block of latrines: the canvas doors of the cubicles have "Females Only" and stick figures chalked on them.
IV. "Tent city" inside one of the semi-derelict airport buildings - general views of tents and activities of service personnel.
