Summary: Scenes at Kabul International Airport and in the city of Kabul itself.
Description: I. Brief shaky shots of the operations room at Kabul Airport.
II. C130 Hercules aircraft (Canadian) comes in to land and taxies - second Hercules is visible in background. Antonov transport aircraft also lands. General views around the airport. Members of the Royal Engineers continue to excavate hole on the apron (see previous tapes), and teams from 5131 Bomb Disposal Squadron carry out an area search. Mechanical digger at work.
III. Members of the Parachute Regiment visit the British Cemetery in Kabul, and hold a discussion with elderly Afghan custodian about the cemetery's ownership. Cut-in shots of para inspecting graves; some graves are highlighted, both older ones (Lieutenant Aisford, killed on the Asmai Heights 14 December 1879) and more recent (the Henley family, killed in a motor accident on 30 June 1969). Soldiers leave the cemetery; street scenes outside, including shoe shine boy and local stores. Land Rovers, waiting to take the Paras back. Local people watch the camera curiously. Soldier has his shoes shined.
III. Shot of disabled man begging in the middle of the road; he sits beside his bath chair. Vehicles - including large articulated lorry - drive close by him.
