Description: I. Exterior shots of 5131 Bomb Disposal Squadron's tented living accommodation; decoration includes discarded shells, used as plant pots. Members of the Squadron gather outside for a briefing by CO about clearance of scrap heap.
II. Aircraft graveyard at the side of Kabul airport; bomb disposal teams conduct area search for unexploded ordnance concealed amongst the debris and the surrounding grass - tape markers are placed to indicate each find. Various cut-in shots of close work. Mortar round is found partially buried amongst the scrub - it is excavated carefully with a combat knife. Squad members walk towards wrecked aircraft. Panning shot of the aircraft graveyard - there is scrap metal everywhere; various hulks (including wrecked Soviet MiG fighter) are seen.
III. Further shots of the interior of the Squadron's "Home-in-stead": among the interior decorations are a mock "fireplace" made of cardboard boxes. Techno music plays on the radio.
IV. Staged shots of bomb disposal man rigging up an electronic primer and pressing the "fire" button - two "takes" of this.
