Summary: Members of the Gurkha Regiment practicing in the deserts of Oman for Exercise Saif Sareea II.
Description: I. Soldiers lie prone in shallow depression (they are being filmed). Armoured vehicles approach and Gurkha soldiers are deployed. They rehearse and attack on the prone soldiers with their kukri knives. The exercise is repeated, this time with guns blazing; however, the Gurkhas, after advancing, again make the "kill" with their kukris.
II. Dark shots inside personnel carrier full of Gurkha soldiers. The soldiers leap out of the carrier (followed by the cameraman) and run towards the enemy for a further kill. Shots of the "victims" lying on the ground. General shots of the area after the exercise as soldiers mill around and talk. Further shots of Gurkha attacks with kukris drawn.
III. Soldiers aim an anti-tank weapon in a foxhole, surrounded by cameramen; they have the saltire and the Scottish Royal Standard flying.
