Description: I. (No sound) Sign outside camouflaged tent saying "Masirah Island Parochial House Chaplaincy". General views of tented camp, with RAF Chaplain Geoff Withers (in camouflage uniform) talking to soldiers sitting outside their tent. (Sound begins abruptly halfway through this long sequence). They are army medics from the Air Transport Surgical Support Team (ATSST); military hospitals and general conditions are among topics discussed. Sign above the tent reads "ATSST MASIRAH: Allow 28 days for delivery".
II. Lighthearted shots of soldier "Phil" as he tries out a small Panasonic Mini-DV video camera.
III. At Muscat, Hercules aircraft taxies to a halt; support vehicles and ambulance drive up. Inside, soldiers and kit stand ready; a flatbed truck with collapsible sides pulls up and the kit is unloaded onto the truck. Equipment and cases are loaded onto the Hercules ready for the return flight.
IV. Scenes inside another Hercules (at Thumrait ?) which has been equipped as a medical flight; patients lie on cots and are attended by medical personnel, one of whom attaches a drip to a patient. Equipment is checked.
V. Interview (on board aircraft) with Flight Lieutenant Nigel Compton of the Royal Air Force, who is out in Thumrait with the Tactical Medical Wing attached to 22 Field Hospital, giving medical cover to troops taking part in Saif Sareea. More views inside the aircraft, including shot of defibrillator.
