Description: I. Tourist scenes taken on Lanzarote. Caves. Swimming pool, beside which a swimsuit model takes part in a photo-shoot. Landscapes from moving car. Views from high elevation of mountains and lake. Cactus garden. Shots from coach of volcanic landscape.
II. Radar van on top of hill; inside, screens display maps of the coastline (mapping to twelve nautical miles). Spanish radar explains the tracking method and is seen at work by the screens, one of which has grainy images of a small boat which he then triangulates on computerised charts. Exterior shots of the radar equipment and panning shot of coast.
III. Brief scenes of men relaxing at a bar.
IV. Night sequence on board patrol boat of the Guardia Civil, which sets sail; very dark images. Radar screens below deck. Firework display on distant shore. Further radar operation, plus shot of map showing the Canary Islands. Boat returns to shore. Shot of lag, and of small craft sailing past. Daytime shot of the vessel.
