Summary: Members of 2 Squadron RAF Regiment undergo jungle training in Belize.
Description: I. Members of the Regiment travel down river in Mk 5 assault boats. River narrows; boats land on heavily-forested river bank. Gunfire can be heard from with the jungle as the soldiers disembark and disappear into the undergrowth. In the jungle, soldiers lie prone and fire at assault boats (which can be seen through jungle foliage). Platoon commander shouts orders; "dead" enemy soldier is inspected. Assault boat comes into land (taken from within the jungle canopy); soldiers disembark. Small boat labelled "Reyes and Sons", piloted by civilian, takes soldiers in red life jackets (observers ?) along river. More views of in assault boats, this time they are firing at hidden targets on the bank (one throws a grenade)
II. Interview with Corporal Mark Mitchell, Staff Nurse from Tactical Medical Wing at RAF Lyneham, on hand to deal with their primary health care and with any incidents that may occur (he is standing in front of his Land Rover battle ambulance). Discussion of the problems of wounds acquired in the hot and humid jungle environment.
III. Soldier sits on rear step of a Land Rover drinking tea and smoking a cigarette.
IV. Panning shots of makeshift jungle encampment made from branches and foliage; close up of soldier's face.
V. Briefing in the jungle; soldiers load their weapons. Soldiers lie prone and fire their GPMGs into the jungle (live fire). Voices shout out above the noise giving orders. Soldier reloads his gun with a belt of ammunition.
