Description: Veterans of the Parachute Brigades (in their Red Berets) gather for ceremony; among them is Brigadier James Hill DSO MC. Boy wearing Red Beret. General Sir Michael Jackson receives HRH Prince Charles the Prince of Wales on his arrival. The Prince takes the salute as Band of the Parachute Regiment, standard bearers and veterans march past. Crowds gather in Le Mesnil for unveiling of statue of Brigadier James Hill, who sits beside the (still-covered) statue as guest of honour. Prince Charles and General Sir Mike Jackson arrive; General Jackson and the Prince both give speeches, before the latter unveils the statue. Afterwards, the veterans mingle and Brigadier Hill greets well-wishers and colleagues. Royal party departs. Ceremony of remembrance: Canadian veteran reads extract from Laurence Binyon's "For the Fallen", and the Last Post is played.
