Summary: Scenes around US Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, North Carolina.
Description: I. Royal Marine Commandos guarding a bridge across New River at Camp Lejeune. One Marine looks through his SUSAT sight. Signs warn that the alligators in the area are a threatened species.
II. Sea King helicopter of COMSECONDFLT (Commander, Second Fleet) comes in to land; troops run to board the helicopter which takes off again.
III. Long shots of tents at Camp Lejeune, including a radar installation with dishes.
IV. Older US Navy ship (LSW 45) at river bank; pan across river. Sea King helicopters fly overhead.
V. Group of troops by lorry; they line up then set off on patrol, walking towards the camera and away.
VI. Hagglund BV206 tracked vehicles undergoing maintenance.
VII. Marine landing craft on river lands on narrow beach. Ramp is lowered and troops climb on board, bringing equipment with them. Sea King flies past. Soldier waves large red and white flag.
VIII. Landing craft (LCU 1656) comes ashore and vehicles disembark.
IX. Sea king of COMSECONDFLT in countryside; troops approach from the bushes, other troops arrive by Land Rover. Aircraftman hands out flying helmets to some of the soldiers before they climb on board. Helicopter takes off.

XI. Two US Navy hovercraft on beach (LCAC 36 nearest to camera). Close-ups of parts of the hovercraft. Exterior checks to hovercraft including cushion. Chinook helicopters fly overhead.
