Summary: Members of 51 Squadron RAF Regiment on patrol in Basra.
Description: Land Rover patrol on the move (taken from one of the vehicles); soldier provides top cover. Patrol pulls up and check the roadside. Gunner looks through the SUSAT sight on his rifle. Patrol continues along desert road into the centre of Basra. Children throng around the patrol as it stops in a village on the outskirts; Sergeant "Dusty" Miller visits the house of a local elder before walking to a school and greeting the headmistress in her office. Interior of classroom full of children and shots of playground. Patrol continues into Basra. Final sequence shows the return journey to base: on the motorway, passing under arches, along desert road (rear angle view), driving past security and concrete barriers at the main gate. On return, soldiers make their guns safe at the unloading bay.
