Summary: Royal Engineers practice vehicle and mine clearance in the desert (Kuwait ?)
Description: I. General views of the desert; camouflage positions in far distance. Wrecked civilian vehicles lie on the sand; cameraman can be heard talking about how these are going to be partially blown up "for training purposes". (These vehicles have obviously been blown up before - their condition is very poor). Several CETs are parked nearby after digging holes, and there is a line of derelict vehicles on the horizon. Still cameraman at work; he gives a "V" sign to the camera. Distant controlled explosion sends up a plume of sand. CETs dragging chains move in to reposition the wrecked cars; long shot with bucket of CET in foreground. Fuse wire for explosives is laid.
II. Group of Land Rovers set up as command post behind sandy ridges. Personnel stand around. Soldier makes call on field telephone.
