Summary: The fitting of the new Storm Shadow cruise missiles to Tornado GR4 of 617 Squadron ("the Dambusters"), which will be used to take out enemy command and control facilities; also interviews with Squadron personnel about the new weapon and its capabilities.
Description: I. Maintenance of Tornado aircraft at night; new weapons (two Storm Shadow cruise missiles) are brought in by bomb tractor and fitted. Aircrew arrives in bus. Wide shot of airfield. Final checks; crew climb on board. Tornado taxies onto runway at night. Second Tornado is prepared for flight: protective pins on weapons are removed. Further preparation scenes; Tornado taxies out into the night.
