Description: (22-29 December 1939) Guards being fitted to railway lamps before being issued out. Warwickshire Yeomanry at the Southampton Docks (South coast of England) gather equipment before embarking for the Middle East. Close-up shots of men having chow followed by a low angle shot of personnel wearing lifejackets and waving from the decks of a troopship. The Yeomanry are then seen crossing a gangplank, fully equipped for overseas duty. MH13

Inside the YMCA at Victoria Station, London, followed by service personnel writing letters at a desks. Female staff serve tea, cakes and sandwiches as the recently returned men socialise. Troops embarking from Southampton. Followed by an isolated shot of a naval mine, washed-up on a beach. People wave from the carriages of a passenger train as it pulls away from a station terminal.
