Description: (24 October 1940) Air raid damage on railway sidings (a low-speed track section) at Waterloo Station, London. The wreckage of several carriages and freight wagons cover the tracks, as workmen begin to break them down for removal. A large hole has been made in the roof of a railway arch by a falling Luftwaffe bomb. (23 October 1940) New Waterloo and City stock arriving into Waterloo Station. MH101
(26 September 1940) In the Surry countryside, Sir John Reith, the Minister of Transport, arrives at the Southern Railway headquarters (Deepdene) in Dorking. He inspects the troops (Southern Railway Home Guard) on the grounds directly in front of the main building. (2 min 06 sec) MH102
