Description: (6 January 1941) The “General Offices” and the “old GPO (General Post Office) yard” turned to rubble by Luftwaffe bombing (unknown location). The debris of the flattened office building is surrounded by walls which have remained standing. The GPO yard is filled with rubble. Situated on a busy road, work has already been done to clear a path for traffic and pedestrians to pass. MH112
(14 January 1941) Portsmouth Harbour Station, Hampshire; the roof of the platform has collapsed following a Luftwaffe air raid. Several railway carriages are also burned out on the platform. (40 sec) MH13
