Description: (4 November 1941) Presentation of cheques to HM Services at a British Railways exhibition lunch, Paddington Station in London. The presentations take place on the station platform, beside the “British Railways Exhibition Coach”. The cheques are presented to British Navy, Army and Air Force Officers by a British Railways representative. In the following sequence; dignitaries inspect the various service personnel in attendance, including; WRAFs (Woman’s Royal Air Force), WRENs (Woman’s Royal Navy Service), ATS (Auxiliary Territorial Services) and Home Guard. (5 November 1941) A Southern goods locomotive leaves Ashford Works, Kent, with a trainload of wagon parts destined for overseas. (1 min 34 sec) MH169
(10 November 1941) A crowd are gathered at Ashford Works to witness the last crate (or “case”) being nailed down by Colonel (Harry?) Llewellyn. The Home Guard are also present.
