Description: (13 February 1942) Intertitle; “Electric Locomotive CCI.” The new electric locomotive hauls passenger coaches near Hassocks (Mid Sussex), at three separate locations. The engine then detaches from its carriages, for shunting at Brighton (East Sussex). MH181
(16 February 1942) Lend-Lease cargo being unloaded at Southampton Docks, South coast of England. The sequence begins with the cargo being lifted from the vessel and then being manually unpacked on the dockside, or going directly into railway wagons. (19 April 1942) Installing concrete blocks for tank traps (anti-tank obstacles) at Dorking, Surry. Workmen pour concrete out of a cement mixer from the side of a railway wagon. Further preparation work involves holes being dug out with shovels and pneumatic drills. A rail mounted crane then lifts the large concrete blocks from the railway wagon in front.
