(4 June 1942) Fire fighting apparatus at “Stewarts Lane” and “Nine Elms”. Fireman (Southern Railway unit?) practice attaching a hose to the pump of a fire fighting locomotive. Once the pump is operational, one of the fireman directs the hose towards a water tower beside the tracks. The fire fighting drills continue as four fireman are pushing a mobile water pump on two wheels. Once in a stationary position, they use a hose to extract water from a reservoir. Two hoses are then directed towards some disused sheds, railway arches are in the backdrop. Finally, a mixture of the fireman, the fire fighting locomotive and the mobile water pump in use.
