Description: (5 November 1943) A large civilian crowd is gathered for a memorial service at the Memorial Arch, Waterloo Station in London. The camera pans around to a temporary stage, on which stands a Church of England vicar surrounded by Union Jack and American flags. All participants appear to have eyes down on their hymn sheets. The perspective switches to a close-up of service personnel by the stage, one of them plays a piano. The assembled crowd are shown from various angles, followed by the main station platform. A group of children (most appear to be of evacuation age) are also watching the ceremony. SH287
