Description: (11 November 1943) Military cargo being unloaded from American vessel, the “STEPHEN H. FOSTER”. American military trucks are being lifted by dockside crane, and a DUKW (amphibious truck) has already been unloaded. A 5-ton 6x4 heavy breakdown truck is also being unloaded onto the dockside. A 12-ton 6x6 tractor (M26A1) is then driven passed the dockside railway line to a storage shed. SH288
(11 November 1943) More military cargo is being unloaded, from cargo vessel “KATERINA LUCKENBACH”, onto the Southampton dockside. The sequence begins with a 4-ton 6x6 Map Reproduction, with a hoist mechanism on the trailer. A 4-ton 6x6 wrecker truck is being towed into the stores, followed by, a row of DUKWs parked-up inside. Other miscellaneous trucks are briefly featured, before the sequences ends with a cargo vessel being unloading from the opposite side of the quay. (1 min 35 sec) SH289
