Description: Most of the film consists of shots of stores and production at a naval base (Royal Edward Victualling Yard). General film of stores, with occasional inserts of activities; eg clothing, insignia, footwear, crockery, medical supplies, (inspecting a can of corned beef), oil, paravanes, torpedoes, guns, (testing gunsights, rangefinder), spare instruments, diving equipment, (good sequence on shell production: fitting shell to case, inserting primer etc), depth charges. Small arms ammunition is packed and loaded into boats. A brief sequence on ship-building, with work on propeller and shaft, riveting. Ship weighs anchor; ships at sea fire various armaments. Closing patriotic commentary with film of White Ensign.
