Summary: The important contribution of the Royal Australian Air Force to the European war which, the commentary emphasises, never stopped even when Australia was more directly threatened by Japan.
Description: The film follows the posting to England in 1943 of some RAAF men: medical inspection, troopship scenes; arrival and kit issue, parcels from home, sightseeing in London etc - including some material (Sunderlands, Spitfires) to illustrate Australian contributions to the Battles of Britain and the Atlantic. The film's narrator is retrained for European flying conditions and posted to an all-Australian bomber unit flying Lancasters. Sequence of preparation, briefing and departure for a raid on Berlin. Film ends with brief shots of other aircraft - Mosquitos, Beaufighters (in action against shipping with guns and rockets), Typhoons, Lancasters, Halifaxes, etc. "Germany knows the might and weight of Allied air power... and now - Japan."
