Description: Opens with reminder of Canadian WW1 Air Aces (including dogfight scenes, from a feature film) and shots of peace-time aviation uses (communications, survey, firewatching). War breaks out - new recruits, stations and aircraft. Medical tests; training of pilots (decompression chamber, link trainer, PT, parachutes etc.), groundcrew (Reel 2) airgunners (stripping and firing mgs) and bombardiers (aerial and ground practice). Trainee pilot "goes solo", long sequence, graduates through different training aircraft, other crew members joining; presentation of 'wings' by Air Marshal Bishop - closing material on "youth takes wings" in New Zealand and Canada.
