Summary: A brief film study of Russia in pre-war "peace and prosperity" followed by a message of solidarity in the "cause common to all mankind" from M. Maisky, Soviet Ambassador in London.
Description: The study is a compilation of stock material, illustrating the large scale and variety of the USSR's geography and population, its economic activities (farming, mining, oil and industry), its progress in building and development (including shots of Moscow underground), in care and education of children; also the relaxation and recreation of adults, and folk singing and dancing. M. Maisky, speaking to camera and over illustrative film, lists Russia's fighting resources (military equipment, leadership and above all the courage and determination of the whole people) and expresses good will "Today we are allies... tremendous effort must be spent... but, fighting side by side, victory is certain".
