Summary: Propaganda film which makes the point that whatever the apparent surface differences between the 4 chief members of the UN they are united by more profound similarities.
Description: Film takes the format of two fictional conversations illustrated with newsreel material (one supposedly in Murmansk between an RN officer and a Russian pilot, the other in China between a Chinese and an American). The first half of the film explores differences (there is quite a good sequence where the American tries to convince the disbelieving Chinese that there is as much difference between Briton and American as between American and Chinese, eg in matters of sport or eating; the Russian and Briton respectively try and dislike Scotch and Vodka, etc.); the rest goes into the common bonds (experience of war, and dedication to the cause of winning it to prevent the possibility of repetition). The film closes with the Russian stressing the need for understanding of common interests to continue after the war if the war is to have been worth fighting.
