Summary: A (fictional) story of heroic resistance to German occupation, "dedicated to the hostages of Europe".
Description: The film, set in "a township of German-Fascist enslaved Yugoslavia" tells the story of an incident beginning when two evil Germans interrupt a courting couple and attempt to rape the girl: in the ensuing fight at least one German is killed. In keeping with Nazi policy, 100 hostages are rounded up to be shot; the couple confess their guilt, and are merely added to the other hostages. Next morning all are marched out, and given spades to dig their own mass graves; led by the original couple they overwhelm their guards (for the loss of only 1 of their own number) and join the guerrillas.
