Summary: Compilation of trials footage of trials at Aberporth and Larkhill Ranges, possibly 1950s vintage, primarily showing the preparation and firing of an RTV1 (Rocket Test Vehicle) "beam riding" round at Aberporth. The first part of the film covers: Description of Aberporth Danger Area; Preparation of a round; Firing of rounds with 'steady roll' and 'programmed roll'; Display of results obtained - graphs of trajectory etc. Film then moves on to setbacks in the programme, including spectacular failures, followed by sequences of a Project 502 (Seaslug precursor) Test Vehicle firing and an NGTE (National Gas Turbine Establishment - later RAE Pyestock) RJTV - Ramjet Test Vehicle - firing. It closes with the firing of an unidentified missile at Larkhill.
