Description: The cameraman observes British troops and an elderly French couple standing around near an MT park (consisting of a jeep and several motorcycles) outside a house near the Château de Caen occupied by a 33rd Field Regiment RA OP or HQ detachment and a 59th Staffordshire Division mortar team. The elderly couple and their dog make their way along the Caen-Bieville/Douvres-la-Délivrande road past a column of CMP 3-ton lorries. One of the lorries (all from a 1st Corps RASC composite company) and a despatch rider motor along the bombed-out road of Caen. An old woman returns to Caen and disappears past a Sherman OP tank (33rd Field Regiment RA) in search of her home.
