Description: Spectators, almost all uniformed senior military officers, gather on foot at the edge of the range; Lord Mountbatten, in his Admiral's uniform, can briefly be seen. Long shots over open range show smokescreen formation from shells, mortars and other devices. During one of the tests, infantrymen don respirators and run into the smoke. Numerous firings, at various distances from the camera, are shown.
