FV432 troop carriers release smoke - soldiers deploy under cover of smokescreen. Gazelle helicopter hovers overhead. Close shots of FV432 and main battle tank showing smoke dischargers etc (also cameras mounted on board to record the exercise). (Tape 2) Shots of open plain - gunfire can be heard. Anti-tank position in dugout (cameras in background take video of the proceedings). Manoeuvres continue; tanks approach and are attacked - one begins to smoke. Infantry advance. Observers monitor the exercise.
