Summary: Testing the W1 and W14 protoypes of the British armoured personnel carrier FV432 Trojan in Queenland, Australia.
Description: A series of tests staged by the 5th Tropical Trials Unit assisted by members of A Squadron Queen's Mountain Infantry. Test Circuits are located near Innisfail (Queensland, Australia) negotitaing creeks and steep gradients, where a meteorological station is set up to record temperature and humidity levels within the carriers. Physiological tests are also conducted recording the reactions of the troops to find out the habitability of the Trojan in hot desert conditions. Troops are seen running a distance of 640 yards after which their pulse recovery rate is used as an indication of their physical fitness and are marched 3 hours before being confined to the vehicle. Afterwards troops negotiate hurdles, throwing grenades and using machine guns to test agility and balancing abilities.
