Description: RARDE called upon to provide in service assistance during Operation Granby, giving advice on vehicle alterations and modifications. RARDE introduced a round-the-clock table of testing from September 1990, to March 1991, with only a short break for the Christmas period. Recommendations that were implemented include a new armour pack for the Warrior tracked armoured vehicle, a system of bridges designed to ensure that vehicles could cross desert oil pipelines without damaging the pipes, and a new mine detection radar system.
