Summary:Two reels of home movies donated by Miss Enid Briggs of Broadstairs of her mother visiting Ypres in 1939.
Description:Mrs Briggs had lost two sons at Ypres in the Great War and had played a prominent part in establishing war memorials in Ypres. The film is a home movie in the town of Ypres, at the Cloth Hall, the Little Gate, the Menin Gate, the British Memorial School and in British war cemeteries around the town. Most of the film is in black and white but footage regarding the Ypres Reservoir Cemetery is in colour.
