Summary: Home movie of HMS Capetown on the China Station, featuring a spring cruise to Shanghai, Wei-Hai-Wei and Amoy, 1937.
Description: The film begins at Shanghai, where there are shots of the harbour, boats and the city. Marines are seen being taken ashore. There are shots of the British Commission at Shanghai. There are then several sequences taken from the Capetown at sea including shots of the officers joking and good shots over both the bows and the stern of the ship. At either Wei-Hai-Wei or Amoy there is a sequence of a football match. There are shots of a naval diver slowly being prepared for the sea. A sea plane flies over. The Capetown returns to Hong Kong.
