Description: This film shows something of the social life associated with working on the NW Frontier. Brigadier Alston lived in a bungalow in Dera Ismail Khan, on the River Indus, which he shared with his sister. The film shows the bungalow, an Indus river trip, a Gymkhana, a Musical Ride by a horse troop, Alston and friends playing golf and various picnics. The film goes on to show another patrol to a Scout's Post on the Sharan River. There is film taken from inside one of the Tochi Scout's Posts. Many of the local tribesmen are seen at this outpost on the Frontier.
