Description: The opening shot is of a large 'marquee/tent' in a city centre with a sign reading 'Ministry of Works. Modern Building Tools'. Vehicles parked outside also bear the text 'Ministry of Works'. Women, men and children wander around an exhibition of proposals and plans for the rebuilding of Coventry. Close-ups of illustrations, plans and proposals including Open Spaces, Post-war Housing and Experimental Housing Developed by the Coventry Housing Committee. Shot of the entrance to the 'Coventry of the Future Exhibition' with people entering and exiting. A billboard at the base of Nelson's Column (Trafalgar Square, London) reads "The time of destruction is ended - the era of reconstruction begins - HM The King", and "Save - for reconstruction". A row of new pre-fabricated houses with a bulldozer clearing the ground in front (probably back in Coventry). Bomb damage to Coventry Cathedral. A shot from an elevated position shows most of the debris has been cleared away. Elevated views over the city show the clearance of bomb damaged sites.
