Description: Camera in fixed position on flat country road, with large building faintly visible in background, records soldiers, led by band, marching by in columns of companies and carrying, at the slope, Lee Enfield rifles from the Wintringham School OTC armoury. "Reserve Company": soldiers without weapons march along same road. "Company drill": soldiers drill on field, and practise arms drill. "Entrenching.": soldiers march past camera bearing trenching shovels, then proceed to dig trenches, funk holes and protective mounds using shovels and small pick-hammers. "Bayonet exercises. Charging trenches.": soldiers wearing face masks and body armour practise bayonet combat with sheathed weapons. Others charge forward towards camera bayoneting sacks spread on ground. "Physical drill": soldiers do physical training exercises in field, do boxing and practise signalling with flags. "Going 'somewhere": two soldiers pass by along same country road on motor bicycle.
