Summary: Amateur film shot in impersonal style by German Nazi Party official (Regierungsbezierk Direktor of Arnsberg) records tourist views of windmills in Germany and views of coastal towns on Adriatic, probably in 1938.
Description: Pan from uniformed chauffeur standing beside official car flying Nazi pennant to village in summer dominated by three large working windmills, with sails turning and farm labourer climbing up ladder with sack of corn or barley (presumably Germany, unless official car was touring German-occupied Holland). Wintry views of St Marks Square in Venice, panning views of walled towns presumed to be on the Adriatic coastline of Yugoslavia, Dubrovnik (?) and minaret. Colour: coastal scenery, women at outdoor market, some bare-headed and others wearing headscarves (as in Yugoslavia); large crown emblem etched in white on hill; two coastal walled towns, one dominated by large castle. Pan over snow-covered mountains. Spring blossom of wisteria and magnolia in large garden, possibly that of Regierungsbezierkdirektor of Arnsberg.
