Reel 3. East End. Blitzed houses, shops and public buildings in teh East End of London; life continues as usual - milk being delivered by lorry, barges pass down river etc. (268 ft)
Reel 4. Paramount News: "Life Story of the Great Untensil". Satirical presentation of the life story of Mussolini using actuality film coupled with parody based on popular English verse. Mussolini is recognised as identifying himself with Caesar "...forgetting that Caesar were genuine stuff, / Heroic in the field, / Whereas Mussolini wer nothin' but bluff, /A fact that's no longer concealed..." The dialogue is in a strong Northern accent (Stanley Holloway style) while the Hitler/Mussolini meeting in Berlin is accompanied by farmyard grunts and chips.

Reel 6. Selling Electricity to a Village. Delegates of a regional electricity board visit the village of "Headingfold" to discuss the possibility of electrifying the village, but they are met with staunch opposition. By carefully dealing with individual inhabitants eg showing a farmer round an electrified farm, the inhabitants are gradually won over.
