Description: The Libyan desert: soldiers stand by a jeep and a Sherman tank. Men smile for the camera. Transport in motion: prime movers and trailers. Man using field radio poses with headphones and microphone. Jeep and trailer; soldier shaves in the open air. Al fresco meal. Setting up of tents. Soldiers relax with bottles of beer. More shots of vehicle movements, and of officers smiling for the camera. Close-up of dung beetle moving across the desert with a ball of dirt. Scenes in camp, both inside and outside tents; another al fresco meal is prepared. Brief coastal view followed by a convoy of lorries driving through a dust storm. Further coastal views: numerous shipwrecks can be seen. Sign at Nufilia, Libya: panning shot of the village and of further vehicles (and artillery) on the move. The bleak desert landscape, and an oaisi with a windmill and well; local women are helped by British soldiers. Gun emplacement. In the distance, a local man carries a large box on his head.
