- Summary: I. US film of their own contingent on the Italian Front, October 1918. II. US film of their own forces on the Western Front, October 1918.
- Description: Men of 332nd Infantry Regiment, detached from 83rd (Ohio) Division, being led by Italian soldiers into the second line of a trench system and going on to occupy a front line. Some of the Americans display their new mosquito-proof gloves and hoods. Other Americans assist the Italians in operating a 1-pounder pom-pom gun from a trench. Behind the lines Americans fraternise with Italian soldiers. One Italian gunner has used an American shrapnel helmet as a soundbox for an improvised mandolin. Views of the Freya Line near Nantillois with ruins in the foreground and a bombardment going on. A supply column moves past the ruins of Esnes, on the Cambrai Road. Tractors are used at Flirey in the Saint Mihiel area to pull down damaged walls and rubble for road-fill. Nearby a girder bridge has been destroyed. A French kite balloon with flak protection bursting in front of it. A passing formation of five aircraft, too high for identification. French soldiers near Montfaucon, probably in reserve, firing a captured German 77mm field gun. Another German gun on its side in the Bois de Sepharges being inspected by French troops. Described as "a 6-inch Krupp gun" it may be a 155mm howitzer. A portrait shot of Sergeant H J Adams who near Bouillonville (?) captured 375 Germans with an empty pistol. Inhabitants of Flirey, which shows some damage, receive food from the US Red Cross, eating with the Americans, while a baby feeds from its mother. Shelling near Montfaucon. US War Correspondents in a scrape trench, crouching because under fire (?). The correspondents group together as soldiers clear rubble nearby. General John J Pershing with Major-General William H Johnson, commanding 91st (Wild West) Division, at its divisional headquarters near Côte 290, Meuse-Argonne sector.
