- Description: In the streets of Glasgow the crowds cheer and wave Union Jacks, good naturedly jostling the camera, which is down at street level with them. In Dublin the celebrations are more restrained, consisting of parades through the street while people stand and watch. The Prince emerges from the town church after a thanksgiving service. With him are Canadian troops who liberated the town and their commander, General Sir Arthur Currie. The Prince and Currie pose for photographers and receive bouquets from young ladies in local costume. The Prince talks with veterans of the Franco-Prussian War. The Canadian forces march off. The Canadian official still photographer, Lieutenant William Rider-Rider, can be seen at work.
