- Description: Lengthy opening caption gives details of the composition of the Regiment and its history. This is followed by a shot of the regimental colours. "The Camp." Panning shot from a distance shows the large size of the camp: rows of white tents spread across several fields. "The Day's Work Begins." Bugler plays to rouse the sleeping soldiers; they tumble out of their tends, some of them being dragged out in comic fashion. Open air ablutions. "The Issue of Rations." A table outside the cookhouse tent is laden with loaves of bread, which are distributed anmong a group of soldiers in uniform. "When at Camp, every consideration is given to the health of the troops." Soldiers visit a medical tent, where a doctor looks at their various ailments - an injured arm, bad teeth, a stiff leg. "Parades... A Company, consisting of the Bridport, Beominster and Sherborne detachments fall in for parade." The detachments assemble. "C Company, consisting of Wareham, Milton, Swanage and Bere Regis detachments." Long shot of the detachmentys as they march up a hillside before turning and walking towards the camera. "A stables." Outdoor scene showing horses being groomed, the groomsmen turn and wave at the camera. "'D' Company - Wimborne Detachment... Poole Detachment... C Company - Wareham and Swanage detachments... C Company - Milton and Bere Regis detachments". Views of the various detachments are shown. "The March Past of the Battalion with the Commanding Officer, Lieut-Col Sir J V E Lees, Bt, DSO, MC, taking the salute." Brief shots of the marchpast, again poor quality. "The Commanding Officer, Adjutant and Quartermaster." Lieutenant Colonel Lees is seen with Captain C H Woodhouse, MC (Adjutant) and Lieutenant A F Perkins (Quartermaster). "The cooks prepare for the return of the troops to Camp." Outside the cookhouse tent, the caterers run around with food and vegetables. The film ends with a recruitment message. "Recruits are urgently needed. Term of service 4 years. Full Army Rates of Pay and Allowances at Camp and a Proficiency Grant of 30/- per year. Join your County Territorial Battalion - The 4th Battalion Dorset Regiment and help bring it up to strength. YOU CAN DO IT!"
