Description: The film opens with the front row of officers awaiting the investiture, sitting on wooden chairs in the park. From right to left they are Major Henry Murray of the Australian forces, Lieutenant-Colonel James Forbes-Robertson of the Border Regiment, Captain Ambrose Peck of the destroyer HMS Swift, Captain Edward Evans of the destroyer HMS Broke, Lieutenant-Colonel Agar Adamson of the Canadian forces, and Lieutenant-Colonel Albert Fewtrell of the Australian forces. In the investiture 351 awards were given, including 11 Victoria Crosses, 4 of them posthumous. 313 servicemen received their awards personally, 26 were received by relatives. There were 12 awards of the Royal Red Cross to nurses. The film shows the King arriving and taking the salute. On the platform with him is the Queen. The Duke of Connaught, Viscount French and Sir William Robertson inspect with him the guard of the Scots Guards. Back on the platform he presents the awards with the Queen seated beside him. Finally, all those decorated give three cheers for the King.
