Summary: Ben Tillett meets British troops at Hellfire Corner in Ypres, Western Front, at noon on 9 January 1918.
Description: Tillett, in raincoat, helmet and gas mask satchel, talks to gunners transporting stores in horse-drawn wagons at Hellfire Corner, on the Menin Road out of Ypres. He goes on to talk to other soldiers, probably all VI Corps ASC, and inspects the ruins of Ypres Cloth Hall. Finally he is seen shaking hands with drivers and passengers in VI Corps ASC lorries (note the bulldog formation sign) and with French soldiers.
