III. "East of the Rhine": Churchill, Field-Marshal Montgomery and General Ritchie visit the 2nd Army bridgehead. 1st US Army enters Limburg under fire, and infantry forces Germans out of Frankfurt. Allied airmen are released from Bützow prison.

V. "Towns And Rockets Captured in Allies' Sweeping Advances": Russian prisoners and women slaves are liberated from prison camps. The American 1st Army puts German prisoners into Hadamar lunatic asylum, which the SS had turned into a concentration camp. German officials and civilians view the corpses of executed inmates. V2 rocket sites are captured in Holland. British commandos enter Osnabrück. Soviet prisoners are released. The Dutch greet their liberators.
