Description:Brief close-up shots of Scouts and Sea Scouts in rowing boats on an unidentified river or lake and of other pleasure boats on the water. Shots from a moving train of its arrival at Apsley railway station, Hertfordshire, with the John Dickinson Stationery Limited buildings visible in the background. On the station platform the large station name signs have been removed and smaller signs added to the original wooden frames. The Scouts and Scout Masters gather their belongings on the station platform. Scouts pull a handcart filled with their belongings across the railway track and along the station approach road. Scouts construct a fire at their campsite in Phasels Wood. Various activities in the camp. Scouts pulling their loaded handcart along a muddy footpath. Several Scouts eating and drinking outside of a small shop in Rucklers Lane, Kings Langley. A railway train crosses the embankment to the side of the shop. Scouts wait on a platform of Apsley railway station as a fast non-stopping train passes through on another platform. Close-up shots of a bed of dahlias. A train pulls in to station platform watched by the waiting Scouts. View from a moving train over a river, across fields, over a large number of chicken pens belonging to the Ovaltine factory in Kings Langley and past a house. Very brief view of Watford Junction railway station and of the Scouts manhandling their handcart on to a descending baggage lift. The film ends with a silhouette shot of rooftops at dusk.
