Description: I. "In the Wake of the Hun" (British Movietone News, 22-4-45). General Eisenhower, with Generals Bradley and Patton, visits Ohrdruf concentration camp in Thuringia, watches how inmates were flogged and sees piles of corpses. Elsewhere emaciated British and Allied POWs, survivors from a 600 mile forced march, pose for the camera. Other liberated POWs include Canadian survivors from the 1942 Dieppe raid and Poles, Czechs, Yugoslavs and six Irish Guards freed by the Coldstream Guards.
II. (Pathe) Women slave workers display their tattooed identification numbers and coats marked with a cross. German civilians from the Gotha area are shown corpses at the Hadamar Lunatic Asylum. Three officials, Adolf Merker, Dr Wallmann and Karl Willig are interrogated on the spot by a War Crimes Investigation Officer.
